What an unprofessional! But the bad news is for her: she may be guilty of discrimination on religious grounds, and doesn't deserve her job---laws are there to protect you, your husband and your child. Schools will JUMP to fix situations like these because they exist by the grace of your and your husband's income tax dollars. What if your child (gasp!) was injured or some school-wide emergency took place (unfortunately--a likelihood!) and this lump had to contact your husband. . .do you see where she has already has made plain that she will not help him??
If your husband was of another race and she behaved this way, you wouldn't hesitate to light a fire and end her employment there for discrimination, plus she will put your child AND your husband's rights as a parent at risk.
I'm voting with talk to the principle and explain their shunning practice and her actions, using words like 'discrimination' and 'because of our religious beliefs'--if that doesn't work write a letter to the principle, school board, whomever. Teach her a lesson and educate people about JWs.
OOOooooh this makes me mad!
(short story--In an apartment leasing office two families came in, each with a child. The leasing agent helping a white family fussed over their baby and said 'how cute' etc; the leasing agent helping the black family didn't--the family claimed racial prejudice, a judge decided that the 'business'--not the individual--displayed preference for the white family. The topic of whether either party was approved for an apartment was not at issue! My friend was the leasing manager, I read the judgment.)
